This hotel is located in the heart of the city overlooking the famous river Amstel, and opposite the opera house of Amsterdam 'De Stopera.' There is also easy access to the famous Rembrandt Plein with it's terraces and shops as well as to all the major tourist attractions that this famous city has to offer. The rooms are medium sized and are in good condition, but vary in shape as the building is old. A small percentage of the rooms were recently totally refurbished in bright, contrasting colours and are in exceptional condition. The older rooms are also modern in style with pleasant decor and an acceptable level of comfort. The bathrooms of these rooms are basic and in fair/good condition, as opposed to the excellent quality of the new ones. This is situated off the lobby and is a brasserie style cafe serving traditional Dutch food. There is also a bar which is open all day. The hotel was constructed from typical Dutch townhouses, therefore its facade is very traditional. The hotel has a large lobby with plenty of seating and is very welcoming. It is a very busy city centre hotel with lots of hustle and bustle and great for people watching. This is an excellent hotel in a prime location and is suitable for both groups and individuals from all markets.
