The hotel is located in the heart of Amsterdam on Damrak, this hotel is very close to Dam Square and within walking distance of Central station as well as the Kalverstraat and most major tourist attractions.
The bedrooms all vary in size due to the age of the building but they have all been renovated and are now in very good condition. The colour scheme is predominantly rust with cherry wood furniture and all rooms benefit from air conditioning and LCD televisions with high speed internet. The bathrooms are also in good condition, and some have been renovated with the remainder due to be renovated over the course of the year. The renovated bathrooms are very modern with a dark wood flooring, and silver and pristine white finishing on the walls and in the showers.
Located on the ground floor, the restaurant overlooks the busy street where one can watch the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam. It serves a traditional Dutch menu and is traditional in style. There is also a brasserie which serves light snacks all day The hotel is located above its famous on-street cafe along a busy street and the exterior is a 1900s building. The lobby is actually very small as the majority of the ground floor space is taken up by its cafe.
